The workshop supplier provides a mobile brake tester to approve the rally vehicles for the popular vintage vehicle event held in the Allgäu region.

Haldenwang, 9 October 2018.  From 5 to 8 October 2018, the International Jochpass Memorial Rally took place for the 20th time in Bad Hindelang on Germany’s highest federal road. The winding Jochstrasse between the towns of Hindelang and Oberjoch in the Ostrach valley (Oberallgäu region, Bavaria) once again attracted many drivers and spectators. The Jochpass Memorial is the last major vintage vehicle rally in Germany. Yet again, this year numerous drivers hailing from both Germany and abroad took part in the event with their vintage vehicles and historical sports cars.

MAHA ensures safety

After registration, all vehicles had to pass a proper technical inspection before the start. As in previous years, MAHA provided suitable equipment for this purpose. Under the professional guidance of the Verfürth team and by means of a mobile brake tester, the vehicles’ general condition was checked, and they were also examined to ensure both that they complied with the provisions set down in the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations and that their brake systems were working.

Following the starting signal, the drivers demonstrated their skills on Germany’s highest federal road in their historical cars and motorbikes. In several races on Saturday and Sunday, the participants travelled up to Oberjoch along the almost 8 km long Joch Pass, with its 105 bends and 15 hairpin turns. The results of the rally heats and the winner lists are available at www.jochpass.com, the website of Jochpass Oldtimer Memorial e.V.

The event is scheduled again for next year. The 21st Jochpass Memorial & Historic Rally for Vintage Vehicles will probably be taking place from 3 to 6 October 2019.
